🌿📖 Excited to announce that the textbook Dr. Thais and our Institute for Integrative Healology contributed to—Psychedelics in Palliative Care—is now published and available in print and e-book editions! ✨📚 (LINK below)

We contributed to the chapter on Psilocybin in Palliative Care 🍄, focusing on its historical, cultural, and spiritual significance—including acknowledging the Mazatec traditional knowledge and curandera María Sabina, who helped bring this ancestral wisdom to the wider world.
This is a deep and rich, integrative topic—rooted in ancient ceremonial practice—where healing was spiritual, emotional, physical, and communal. Sacred plants and fungi have long been used to expand consciousness, support connection, and help people face significant life transitions and mortality with greater clarity and peace. 🌺🕊️.

Through this work, we aim to offer grounded, respectful information on the science, safety, and conscious use of these medicines—honoring both tradition and evidence.
It’s been a true honor to collaborate on this chapter with incredible pioneers and colleagues: Charles Grob, MD; Yvan Beaussant, MD; Dingle Spencer, MD; Stacy Fischer, MD; Lou Lukas, MD; Jessi Humphreys, MD; and Brian Anderson, MD 🌟.
✨ May this work help us further bridge ancient healing wisdom and modern science skill, and—through education and collaboration—move us closer to therapeutic access for more people with safety, dignity, and care.
